We believe the biggest and loudest aren’t necessarily the best. Our designs are polished and understated, where quality outshines quantity.


Our experience allows us to pivot from small-scale renovations to large new builds with varying budgets and design requirements. Whether it’s your first time partnering with an architect or you are well versed in the experience, we will guide you through the process with full support from conceptualisation to completion. We pay attention to every detail and work tirelessly to ensure the transition from design to construction is seamless.

I’m thrilled to have you visiting our website and I hope it means you are looking to take the first – or next – step in your architectural design journey and nothing excites me more. Let me introduce myself: my name is Caitlin Lonn, director and founder of Clo. Architecture. I started Clo. because I wanted to offer a truly collaborative architectural design solution. A solution that allows the clients we partner with to have their vision heard and executed with nuanced design.

 

Throughout my 10 years in the industry, I have uncovered my passion for modern design that preserves and highlights the character of a house. I love to experiment with natural light and materials to create a dynamic space, bringing the outdoors in.

 

I am here to listen to your wants and needs – and explore even the most lavish ideas – to turn what may seem outlandish into a space that is functional and unique to you. I would love to get to know you, and your lifestyle, so we can take the next design step together.

Lovely words

Renovating or building can be a really stressful experience, especially if you are balancing it with work or family responsibilities. We can’t recommend Caitlin from CLO Architecture highly enough. From our initial concept development, right through to build completion, Caitlin was a source of knowledge and wisdom. Having Caitlin’s detailed plans meant that trades and builders could not add hidden costs half-way through the build, because they had already quoted on the details. When things did change during the build phase, as they inevitably do with heritage Queenslanders, we knew we could seek sound advice from Caitlin. Caitlin always made it her job to consider how we would use the house, as well as how it would look and feel. These priorities were an important difference to the priorities of trades, who are primarily there to get the job done on time. This is what you need from your trades, but to have an advocate for the ‘future us’ was vital to ensure no corners were cut just to get something finished –even when we were tempted to do this ourselves! Caitlin, our family will be forever grateful to your attention to detail, your sense of style and your ability to work with us to bring the vision of our dream home to life!

After finally securing our dream waterfront parcel of land, literally only hundreds of metres from the beach where I proposed to Kylie, we weren’t going to chance our dream home design to just anyone!  Caitlin from CLO Architecture worked tirelessly with us for the better part of a year delivering a final design that we simply couldn’t have imagined possible. Caitlin continues to work closely with us managing our construction, which has also provided its own challenges.  Caitlin has taken all of the work out of designing, tendering & managing the construction of our home, leaving us to enjoy the excitement of watching our new home become a reality.  We can not wait to celebrate completion & live out our dream in this amazing home.
